I have found of Seksyen 17 Petaling Jaya. Love the food there, and also the price is lower compare to other places. Now, when talking about Kuey Teow, commonly Malaysian knows that Penang Char Kuey Teow is something that worth to travel about 300 KM to the north from KL to enjoy, but look no further as Robert’s Char Kuey Teow is something that you want to try before you go Penang.

Located in busy junction of Seksyen 17, Robert’s Char Kuey Teow has been there for more than 5 years as I know, and if you go during lunchtime, there are a lot of people enjoying Robert’s char kuey teow, as only one stall that selling char kuey teow on that Chinese coffee shop. The shop can be easily found, find the red banner, and you will likely spot the correct stall.

Char Kway Teow

Char Kway Teow

I order significant portion, as I am starving and the smell of the fried kuew teow makes my saliva drop. The prawn is generous, and the price is slightly high, RM 7 for a big plate, but as you can see the portion is significant and the taste is good. The last time before I go to Penang, I eat this place for reference. Sadly only two sites that offer better kuey teow that worth to mention. Yes, I know Penang is famous for char kuey teow, and they also proud of it. Sadly due to high numbers of tourists, the standard has dropped a lot and only a few outlets offering good kuey teow.
If you are in Seksyen 17 Petaling Jaya, look no further to find Robert’s char kuey teow for your good kuey teow lunch. This place worth one star from me, as they taste good, and it is something that you can try as a reference before you go to Penang and fight with the flavor there.
