El Cerdo

If you had been long in KL, you might heard about this ‘whole pig’restaurant named El Cerdo. Famous for its pig dishes from head to tail. Personally I had been coming to El Cerdo for frequent dining. Simply because the food and service here is outstanding and above average. It is a place to go for anniversary, celebration, or any special event that you want to celebrate with your loves one. El Cerdo, located in Changkat bukit bintang, is kinda easy to find. It’s name is well known in KL folks. One tips is that he parking here is hard to find, and during weekend they will close the road heading to restaurant. So better park somewhere and take grab or uber to the location.

Jamon Iberico De Bellota El Pata Negra
Jamon Iberico De Bellota El Pata Negra

This is our first dish. Named ‘Jamon Iberico De Bellota El Pata Negra’. The ham is salty so you wrap the rock melon with ham and eat it together. It will bring the freshness taste of fruit combined with saltiness of ham will definitely make you to have more. The picture above we order for small platter, because we want to have more space for El Cerdo specialty dish.

Grilled Pork Shoulder Steak

This is our second dish. Grilled Pork Shoulder Steak. This dish is one of El Cerdo specialty dish and highly recommended for the first timer in El Cerdo. The portion is huge, so you might be really full if you order this alone. One thing that I really like is that the tenderness and also rich taste of the meat and grilled into perfection. Kudos for the chef who prepare this delicacy. This is one of dishes that I often order whenever dining there.

El Cerdo Pasta

This is our last meal. ”El Cerdo Pasta”. One thing for sure, it contain rich lard as when you bite the pasta, it taste rich of pork oil. Love the way they cook the bacon in this dish. Really mouth watering filling dish. I often adding chili for pasta but for this, I did not add anything and eat as it is.

Overall, this place really highly recommend to come. Yes, I am giving two stars for this restaurant. Although the dishes is mouth watering and taste is strong, personally I think they dishes can be improve by infusing some little wine. It will help to enrich and balancing the strong taste, and leaving outstanding after taste effect.
