It is my first time eating at Dave’s Deli at Atria Shopping Gallery. My wife told me that they have discount for lunch time if we pay using RHB debit or credit card. Well, it is around 30% discount which is why I don’t think it does little harm if the food is not good but we paying cheap price out of it. So of we go!!
We went the branch at Atria Shopping Gallery, and I did not know they have many branches. My friend told me they have some branches in good and well known location, and it is pack with people most of lunch and dinner time. I like the interior and arrangement to make order, simple, menu with pictures along with price, and also friendly server who friendly and kind.
My wife really loves lamb, so she immediately order lamb without second thought. I really like how they cook this lamb, they marinate it nicely and there is no smell from the lamb. The meat tender and the sauce goes well with the lamb too. I just think if they have mint sauce, it will be good. I was told it is New Zealand lamb.
This is my order, Beef Rissole. It is good, the patty is nice and tender and I like the sauce. But sadly I did not think they serve or prepare freshly, it is kinda like microwave food, where they made somewhere and then just reheat it before they serve to customer. As I can tell the meat juice is kinda dry, same taste like when you freeze the patty and then reheat and serve. The portion is kinda generous, with good amount of mash potatoes. I wish the green peas is a little bit more.
This is what my friend order, it is kinda big chicken and good amount of cheese and tomato sauce. Portion is good, it might be a little bit much for average Malaysian woman. When I see the chicken, it seems dry.
Overall, this place is worth to mention to dine here, just that my personal opinion it worth to eat here when the promotion is on and you are craving for Malaysian style western food. I bet if they improve the food quality, it will be good place to enjoy.
